Engineering connected devices, from the circuit board to the cloud.

LyncLync develops the hardware, the firmware and software, and the applications of connected devices: the board, the radio link, the cloud service and the app in a technician’s hand.

From the board to the cloud A circuit board with a microcontroller sends data over a radio link to a cloud service, which serves a web portal and a mobile application.

What we do

The whole stack of a connected device

Hardware, firmware and embedded software, connectivity and cloud, and the applications people use to work with the devices. Each layer is designed with the others in view.

Hardware

Custom PCB architecture and bring-up: power distribution, EMI-aware layout and high-speed interfaces such as MIPI CSI-2, PCIe, USB 3.0, SGMII and RGMII. RF front-ends for 2.4 and 5 GHz Wi-Fi and LTE, managed Ethernet switch fabrics with VLAN isolation, and FPGA fabric where a design calls for it.

Firmware and embedded software

ARM Cortex MCUs, bare-metal and under an RTOS; Linux-class SoCs with their BSPs and drivers; Bluetooth stack integration and reliable wireless links; sensor fusion across time-of-flight, inertial and vision sensors; and edge-AI inference paths that run on the device itself.

Connectivity and cloud

End-to-end IoT over LTE and cloud IoT with MQTT. Electronic meters and connected industrial hardware, including metering and monitoring for gas utilities and industrial infrastructure, with the cloud portals that let people see and manage their devices.

Applications and verification

Android applications, web applications and cloud portals for devices, and Python-driven test automation and verification.

Pre-certification work is part of the engineering. EMC/EMI readiness, regulatory compliance gating and the documentation that goes with them are handled inside the design, not after it.

Turnkey development

From a blank page to a finished device

LyncLync designs complete products, not fragments of them. We take a device from the first idea through architecture, electronics, firmware, cloud and applications to a working, production-ready product — and we stay accountable for every layer in between.

Complete platforms

Systems that work as one: field hardware, secure connectivity, a cloud back end, a customer portal and a technician’s mobile app, engineered together so that every part fits the others.

Stand-alone devices

Individual connected devices built from scratch — sensors, meters, gateways and controllers — delivered with their firmware, their update path and the tools to test them.

How a product comes to life

  1. Concept and requirements

An idea turned into a specification you can build, test and certify against.

  2. Architecture

Processor, radio, power and security choices, made deliberately and written down.

  3. Hardware

Schematics, PCB layout, bring-up and power measurement on real boards.

  4. Firmware

Secure boot, signed over-the-air updates, low-power operation and storage that survives power loss.

  5. Cloud and applications

Device services, web portals and mobile apps that operators actually use.

  6. Validation and production

Test automation, pre-compliance readiness and the station that programs and checks every unit before it ships.

Proven, not slideware. Complete platforms and individual devices have already been designed, built and proven on real hardware.

One team. One point of accountability. Hardware, software and applications built to work together from day one.

Security by design

A device is only as trustworthy as its boot chain, its storage and its keys

So those are designed first, at the board level, and carried through the firmware and the cloud.

Secure boot chains

Boot chains that verify every image before it runs, so a device executes only software it can vouch for.

Encrypted storage

Data at rest protected with AES-256-XTS and dm-crypt, on devices that may spend years in the field.

Hardware trust anchors

Key hierarchies rooted in eFuses and secure elements, so the secrets that matter never live in ordinary memory.

Security is designed in at the board level, not added at the end.

How we work

Principles that hold from the first schematic to the deployed fleet

Specify before building

The fixed points of a design — interfaces, record formats, power budgets — are settled before the code that depends on them exists, not discovered afterwards.

Every failure is observable

No silent fallback. When a value cannot be trusted, the system marks it, logs it and reports it rather than quietly substituting one.

Evidence, not assertion

Code existing is not a test result, and a datasheet figure is not a measurement of the assembled board. A claim stands on what was actually run.

Built for the field

Power, electromagnetic compatibility and serviceability are design inputs from the start, because a device that works on the bench is not yet a product.

Product

ScoutLync

In development

A connected pressure-monitoring platform for gas networks: battery-powered field devices, a cloud portal and a technician app, built on the same engineering described above.

ScoutLync is in development and customer access is by invitation. Invited customers sign in at scout.lynclync.ca.

Field devices

Battery-powered devices that monitor pressure on the network.

Cloud portal

A portal for the devices and the readings they report.

Technician app

An app for working with the devices in the field.
